Very well done video but I guess I live under a rock. I don’t know what the application for these products are. What’s a Nuvo, Deco Art…etc…huh? Very pretty but I do not know what they are used for. Are these plaques, greeting cardss? However, your video is very entertaining and you are super cute and funny.
110lb Cover Ultra Heavyweight Double Thick Cardstock – Bright White – 8.5" x 11" This is Super Heavy and what I use for ALL my Card Bases! LOVE it!
Mary, I just stumbled upon your YouTube video and just fell in love with all the tips that you have to offer. I also subscribe to your channel and your email info as well.
Can you tell me which Brandon us the stamp and die took you have. Is the red and black where you put the card and the stamp os on the other side…yes im new to the game🎉
If you need cardstock…try acid free comic backer boards.
Walmart has great 110 pound weight card stock
I got the silicone brush holder for $1.25 at five & below.
I just found the silicone mats on Amazon for half price! I got 4 for $2.79. The same size as yours, just slightly different. I’ll be using one in the kitchen as a trivet.
Instead of the siliconemat you can use baby foam washclothes or a desktop placemath in silicone.❤
What are those things u put in the white tool caddies
love
Very Helpful, thank you.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Timestamp 7:35, I so love your crafty friend Shelly’s storage idea for markers! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜I Hadn’t seen this. I have many of these boxes from Micheal’s half-price sales; just need to make the trip to the hardware store for the light fixture. Timestamp 4:25, called "Silicone Makeup Brush Holder Stand" which sells for $5 at 5 and below. I stuck mine on the wall with suction cups. Great Content🥰🥰🥰
For people who work with lots of little things (I make jewelry. So, I have lots of beads and findings. ) craft stores and Wal-Mart sell organization boxes that have little compartments and they’re great. BUT, if you walk across the store (Wal-Mart) to the fishing section, they have the exact same boxes for way less money.
Any Australians on here? Our shops are different we dont have hobby lobby, or dollar shops where i am Tasmania.
I have bought card stock that was to thin at 110 lb. After using Mr. Google I found out it has to say 110 lb cover, not index. Not knowing that I was buy index paper which is cheaper and thinner. Lesson learned, the hard way. I use the index for die cutting.
Staples carries their own brand of 110# cardstock too.
5:06 I bought those at Walmart and got them cheap. Love them .
I use my long oblong brush holder thingy 4.22 time stamp for each project. But my pokey tool, pencil and pen always live in it then I’ll put which ever blending brushes I’m using for that particular project.
I find this works good for me and I don’t have to spend money on extra ones 🙂🇦🇺
I saw a quote on Pinterest that says something like “why should I buy an item for $5.00 when I can make it for $82.00 in craft supplies?” To me, that says it all.
Mary, tried looking for the light fixture you described for my markers but couldn’t find. Could you please ask your friend who sent you her pretty box idea for markers storage, the exact name of the item.
Ok….my first ‘visit’ to your videos!
Great!!
However, I do agree with you about that black square marker pen holder, like you, it was rubbish, but, BUT…….it makes a great hay-holder for my Granddaughter’s Guinea pig! Brilliant! 😍
I use wood shims from Home Depot for lots of crafts, my favorite is trees, gluing 2 or 3 together to make a grouping.
I keep tins washed out an in a box. You’d be surprised what you can make with them.
Plastic bottles I rinse out and keep for future crafts. Lots of folding produce containers work for storing things too! Most of my storage is in clear plastic tubs or shoeboxes. What isn’t obvious I label.
Hobby lobby 85 or 110
Park lane 110 from joann
Brush storage? Cool idea. I bought mine years ago at a fabric store when I was an avid quilter…it’s good for small tool storage as well.
The honey comb silicone thing, works also it make iced coffee, put it under you pot and brew, turn it off and the coffee isn’t so hot. The heating element is not effectual . I have gotten some of these little bottles and Love them. Label is a good idea , I didn’t. Yeikes!!

For card stock / I break down and flatten cereal boxes, any kind of product that comes with boxes. I also breakdown cardboard boxes to save in case I can use them. Saves a lot of money.
You can put your brushes in a clean soup can. Cost–$0. I keep my paint markers horizontally in a deep box top. Cost–$0. They should be store horizontally.
the brush holder is 4.97 @ walmart.
They are also good to sit your machines on to stop them slipping. We can buy in rolls in Australia
Hi, very nice . It would be great if you could tell us the name of all the things for people who are completely new at this. Thanks
Hate to say this, I got the brush holder at Dollar Tree last year. Also the round silicon mat. $1.25.😊😊😊😊
didn’t read all the postings. Do any of these glazes really dry or do they stay tacky? I have never found one that dries dry!
I love tool caddie
Thank you for the ideas and this share..
Markers should be stored laying flat.
Temu… I get so many things from Temu.
The brushes you use on your ink pads are sold at dollar tree in the makeup section .
Yes they do overcharge by around 1000%
hey just thought I’d say, good idea about storing your pens in pretty box and the thing from hardware but all pens should be stored horizontally not vertically, especially alcohol ink pens”’
This was a great video. I love the precision tip bottles. I’ve been looking for those for ages!! I am still looking for a good Marker holder. Thanks Mary, this was fabulous.
My favorite paper i found is at Hobby lobby and it comes in heavy weight and extra heavy weight. No idea what pound cadstock it is but i now only use that for card making. I alsonuse it for my stamped images and its very alcohol marker friendly.
If you just wash off the tops before you put them awaythey don’t stick. Just takes a second as you are cleaning up to put things away. Same with paint bottles, and nail polish.
Hobby Lobby ( The Paper Studio)extra heavy weight cardstock. I get the package with 100 when it’s 40%off
I use my meat press as a pressure tool. I just wrap it in saran wrap first.
Update: If I could figure out how to send pics, I would!
I know it’s 2 years since you posted this video, but I want to share a stencil ‘hack’ I recently discovered. Hobby Lobby has cake decorating supplies. The brand is Sunny Side Up Bakery. From what I understand, all items from this brand are always 50% off the marked price. Now, for the hack. They have stencils marked $1.99, so you pay $1. There’s not a big selection, but I got 3 stencils. I’ll send pics.
Great info on glaze! QUESTION: Which glaze did you use for the "thanks" lettering?
Do you have a link to the first item the one you stick blending brushes and tools in?
Late to the party – but my biggest tip for cost effective art supplies/tools is to remove the word craft or art from the search term.
Much like adding Wedding to an item, the price carries a premium. If you search online for "non slip pad" or "silicone mat" you’ll end up with a wider scope of product suggestions. Also if youve seen a wishlist art product you could reverse image seach it to see if any other (cheaper) versions pop up.
There is another glazing to add to your list, its Golden Clear Tar Gel. I received a free sample of it, years ago. Its a bit different in that you can ‘drizzle’ it and kind of stretch it. I just used it as a clear glaze like the others. oh Deco triple thick? used to come in a short jar, i have one of those jars from around 1995? lol, and its still great no color change. I used it to glaze doll eyes. lol.
the brush storage can also use with crochet hooks especially the ergonomic hooks
