Great tips/recommendations. I noticed a few comments by others whose local DT stores are either very small or not well-stocked – we have the same issue here where I live in Ontario 🇨🇦 despite having 3 relatively close locations, they don’t compare to others I’ve seen on YT USA locations. Hope to go to some in bigger cities here in the summer to see if they’re better. None of ours have a plus section. Thanks for sharing.
We have 4 within 20 min drive, 2 are huge, and they rarely have items I see in here. Doesn’t seem to matter if I’m there when they’re processing trucks or not. Frustrating to see great things you can never buy! 🤯🤣
Quit going to HL. They wouldn’t let me exchange a couple birthday gifts which were duplicates they were still selling – I checked online first – because I wasn’t so rude as to ask the gifter for a receipt.
I don’t appreciate a store which promotes itself as Christian accusing me of stealing. Called hqs several times and WOW, were they RUDE, is all I can say.
I used to spend a ton on HL, so they knew me, and I rarely, if ever returned/exchanged anything. Michael’s will now get the 1k or so.
It’s a pity bc I loved HL’s other than crafting items.

I am just trying to get started and I am a beginner and I am trying to find some simple art projects online to do for various holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, valentine’s day, st, Patrick’s day, Easter, 4th of July etc.. and since I am indian festivals like diwali, and other Indian festivals as well.

I have three DT near me. Non are Dollar +. They also don’t look ANYTHING like your store. You would be horrified! It looks like a hurricane went through it!

Our stores have small crafty aisles also. I have to go on a scavenger hunt to find some of the good items. I have yet to find rub-ons.

I’ve always enjoyed buying wood ornaments to paint from dollar tree. This year though, the pieces are much thinner. When they are thin, they are more likely to warp when painted. A couple of days ago I checked out new ornaments at our dollar tree, but left when none.
The LockTight super glue is amazing! U can get that at the dollar store too and it doesn’t make white marks like the super glue one can
Yes I love all of the craft supplies but my favorite is the wood also I have to say the glue especially the gel super glue 🥰

Great video. I’m having trouble when glueing to wood- the object usually comes off. What glue do you recommend for a lasting seal?
My dollar tree looks like a tornado has blown through. So hard to find anything with out digging into the bottom shelf because all the stuff that should be hanging, is spilling out of it.
The wreath choice are always fun and that’s a favorite to get as well as yarn metal signs and wood items ribbon paint and so much more
We have poundland and bargain buys b&m home bargains but nothing like dollar tree 😢😢😢😢

Your DT is more in stock than mine. My go-to items are the poster boards, foam core boards and seasonal napkins. I decorate alot for my church and DT is the cheapest on a tight budget.👍❤️😉

I have a storge bin with three drows full of DT stickers
I love their clip magnets. They’re great organizing tools. I’ve even used them for my macremae projects. I just line a few up, drape my string, jute, etc. and go to town. The magnets are strong enough to hold everything in place and, when the project is finished, it’s super easy to just slip off the medium and add the finishing touches. I also have a supply of their wreath hangers on hand. I use them to hold hangers on the front or backs of doors for extra storage space. I love the seasonal colors they come in. Actaully there are so many items I love to see at the my local Dollar Tree that I could go on forever. I just wish I could find a Super Dollar Tree near me . . . Oh, well, maybe one day. PEACE
